It was a regular occurrence to pivot from researching and illustrating a car engine to the complexity of a butterfly within the same week. View fullsize After creating infographics and visual aids for Shark Week, Discovery Channel requested more for a wider variety of shows. This infographic explaining echolocation, was created for an Animal Planet show. View fullsize Discovery sought to diversify while also staying educational, so when boxer Mike Tyson discussed his love of homing pigeons on Animal Planet, this image was created to describe what makes them so special. View fullsize One of the first tasks I was given by Discovery Channel was to make content for Shark Week. For this I was given a list of facts and asked to make them interesting. The fin breaking into the letter 'A' also inspired the current Shark Week logo. Creating a visual sequence that anyone, in any country, could understand was an ongoing challenge. View fullsize Common subjects for HowStuffWorks articles required additional consideration. Sometimes it involved adding more information than available elsewhere, or simply making something prettier within a short time frame. I collaborated with engineers to simplify a complex process into clear visual language while continuously updating the designs based on testing.
